Meridian City: A No Sleep Day
The window of a quiet, darkened apartment slowly opened, letting in the chill night air. A slim figure crawled inside, then closed the window with a dull thud. The figure looked around the room, took a few steps forward, then collapsed face first on the soft bed with a groan. Within a minute, the only sound in the room was muffled snoring. *BEEP BEEP BEEP!* “God.... Damn...... TIME!” The figure slammed her hand on the alarm clock, shutting it off before she fumbled for the lamp. She turned it on with a click, the light illuminating the exhausted form of the superheroine Lex. “Don't.... Wanna....” With a sigh, the superheroine rolled over, holding her head. “Ah well, nothing wrong with 5 minutes of sleep. That’ll last me the week...” She pushed herself from the bed with a grunt, her costume dissolving into thin air as she made her way to the shower. “I should talk with NEET; tell her I can’t patrol tonight.
